1971 Cessna 172L Skyhawk II – N7995G

Remarks:
Even though 95Gulf is IFR capable, it fits in well as our primary training aircraft. It is a clean version of the early 1970s Skyhawk but with additions which much improve it.

Pluses:

  • 180 Horsepower conversion from the standard 150 Horsepower ‘L’ engine in a 1971.
  • PS Engineering 1000 4-place intercom replacing an old Sigtronics unit.
  • a new MX20 audio-selector panel replacing the original ARC unit.
  • Two Bendix King MX155 Nav Com radios
  • the original MPH airspeed indicator changed to Knots to match all newer aircraft since the mid 1970s.
  • Very nice exterior paint
  • Re upholstered interior with new carpets.
  • All interior plastics have been restored.
  • a practically, one-of-a-kind, wood grain instrument panel.
  • Rosen see through sun visors.
  • Additional interior insulation for warmth and sound-proofing.
  • modified wingtips allowing for a reduced stalling speed and more slow speed maneuverability.
  • Continuously hangared for the last 10 years.

Future Improvements:

  • a Garmin 430 WAAS making it identical to our other aircraft.
